Batavia Baseball Club Board Meeting Minutes

Date: January 28, 2024

Time:    6:00 – 7:08                                                                                         

Attendees: Zach Bloom, Keith Brown, Jesse Woodall(via virtual), Sara Johnston, Dustin Hannika, Deborrah Pilcher, David Pilcher

1.       President’s business

·         Township is not going to let us build mounds

·         Field pricing - $25 (if team is over 50% from Batavia Township); $40 (if team is under 50% Batavia township)

·         Billed at the end of the season

·         Asked us to volunteer to stuff Easter eggs the week before Easter

·         Need to start discussion on where we want to play out of next year

·         Pitcher’s mound

·         $2,000 per mound

·         Schedules

·         10u, 12u, & 13u Blume done

·         13u Brown still working on it

·         Baseballs

·         12u & 13u Brown already have baseballs

·         First aid kits

·         Need to buy new kits for all 4 teams

·         Spirit shop now open

·         Training

·         All coaches and maybe 1 team mom/dad need to have CPR & AD training

2.       Treasurer

·         IRS designation has been fixed and we are now able to file correctly

3.       Other Business

·         Meetings – start putting out notice of board meetings on Facebook and Team Snap a week before the meeting.

·         Next meeting is February 25, 2024
