Batavia Baseball Club Board Meeting Minutes

Date: February 26, 2024

Time: 8:15 – 9:30

Attendees: Zach Blume, Keith Brown, David Pilcher, Deborrah Pilcher,  Sara Johnston, Jesse Woodall, Mandy Pfeiffer, Jason Coon, Dustin Hannika

1.       President’s business

·         Pitching Mound was shipped – split the cost among the four teams

·         First Aid Kits – all new paid; by organization $160 total

·         CPR/AED Training - $45 per person, covered by organization. Offer to Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches

·         Want to hold a parent meeting with all parents to talk about parent etiquette, player etiquette, playing time, etc. Coaches prefer to talk to their own team parents.

·         How much money should we give coaches for umpires at a time? Zach recommends $500 at a time to each coach.

·         Hats will be ready in about a week.

·         Volunteer hours – need to start talking about getting those hours in.

·         Scheduling conflicts – there were a few times when games overlapped. Trying to get those rescheduled.

·         Golf outing – start getting dates/venues together. Start getting swag bags together.

·         12u is planning on doing the dinner again, maybe make it an organization fundraiser.

2.       Treasurer

·         $25,561.98

·         State and IRS reporting is up to date and everything was filed.

·         Still missing some player fees

Next Board Meeting: April 1 @ 8:00 at Batavia Sports Complex with a virtual option.
